JEREMY SCOTT
Jeremy and his wife Anouk have been involved as servant-leaders with Morning Star Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois for a long while, but Jeremy was able to come on as official part-time staff in January 2008. The Scotts married in June 2002 and relocated to minister for a few years in a church in Rhode Island. But their desire to return to Morning Star increased over time.
En route back "home," they were able to serve as Morning Star's "missionaries" and on-site Global Grace representatives for five months after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf States (2005-06). The Lord blessed their ministry in Louisiana, but the Scotts were thrilled when it was time to move back to Rockford and settle in at Morning Star again.
The Scotts are in the process of adopting two sons from Liberia (see "The Lord's Doing" adoption journal). Jeremy directs Morning Star's Kids 4 Truth and youth programs, heads up the multimedia/audio ministries, and contributes in countless other ways to the overall work of the leadership.
Both Jeremy and Anouk have invested themselves sacrificially into Morning Star, and they look forward to what God has in store. Jeremy still holds his position as an administrative assistant at Wesley Willows, a retirement center in the Rockford community. Anticipating their boys' soon arrival, Anouk recently "retired" from her job in order to assist Jeremy in the ministry and to serve her family as a stay-at-home mom.
