God’s Creation Teaches Us That God Exists
Adventure 5: God's Creation
What does the creative handiwork of God show us?
Creation shows us that there must be a God, and that He must be uniquely good and great above all. Romans 1:20 – For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
This Truth Makes
Scientists still do not understand why an atom hold together. An “atom” is just about the smallest bit of matter known to man. Billions and billions of atoms come together to form things like rocks and flesh or trees. You are made up of billions and billions of atoms. Because atoms are so small, nobody can see them without the aid of an electron microscope!
The mystery is how and why an atom holds together. Proven scientific laws teach us that atoms should not hold together, because atoms consist of two like charges. “Like charges” repel each other (like two magnets). Yet somehow, atoms still hold together! If these atoms did not hold together, everything would explode into nothing. What keeps these tiny atoms together? The Bible says in Colossians 1:17 that by Christ “all things consist.” That means Jesus “holds together” all things.
God is not ignoring His creation. It is true that God is greater than Creation, but He is not cut off from it. He cares about that which He has created.
Job 12:10 – In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?
Creation is distinct from God, yet always dependent upon God.
Ephesians 4:6 – One God and Father of all, who is above all [separate from Creation],
and through all, and in you all [active in Creation].
