God Rescues Helpless Sinners
Adventure 6: God's View of You
Mission: 9

Question Answer
Does God leave all sinners to die in their sin, guilt, and misery?

No. He gave Jesus to save any sinners who believe on Him from their sin, guilt, and misery. John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

The Difference This Truth Makes
According to God, all the world is in slavery to sin. John 8:34 – Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever
commits sin is a slave of sin.”

Many times in the Bible, we read about people who are held captive under a slave owner. These people were the property of the slave owner. In order to be set free they needed to be “redeemed.” The word “redeemed” means rescued by a purchase. That purchase is called “redemption.” The only way for these prisoners to be set free was for a redeemer to come and purchase them out of their condition. But not just any person could be the redeemer. The redeemer had to be: a close relative of the one held captive, able to pay the high price for freedom, and willing to redeem the one in bondage.

Do you know that we were held captive by sin? Do you know who the Redeemer is? Has Christ rescued you with a great purchase? Jesus Christ was the only One able to fulfill all the requirements of redemption! Praise the Lord; He willingly paid the great price of His life so that we could go free!

God provided a means of salvation for all who believe. God rescues helpless sinners who come to Him having nothing and needing everything. He rescues them through a purchase worth more than all the money that has ever been printed. (See Acts 20:28.)
