We All Need God To Rescue Us from Our Sins
Adventure 6: God's View of You
How has Adam's sin affected you?
I am a sinner by birth and a sinner by choice. Unless God redeems me, I can never be good or right with Him. Romans 7:18 – For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
This Truth Makes
If we do not see ourselves the way God see us, then we remain proud. The Bible says God resists the proud, and that a person
who comes to believe on Christ must come as a humble little child (Matthew 18:1-6). Without Christ, we cannot please God by any good deeds, because God views all our deeds as bad. We cannot give enough money, or go to church enough, or say enough prayers to gain God’s redemption (freedom from sin through a purchase).
God’s plan to save people from their sins by sending His Son brings Him much glory. When God changes a sinner, He shows His unequaled abilities to forgive and to create someone who truly resembles Himself. His saved ones are trophies of His grace – similar to your displays of sports or scholarship trophies that you have earned – so, God showcases His glory through His children. He puts them on display for the world to observe and say, “What a great God that person must have!”
Revelation 5:9 – And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
