God Alone Created the World
Case 5: God's Creation
Clue: 2

Question Answer
Who created you, the world, and everything in the world?

The almighty God alone created me, the world, and everything in the world. Isaiah 45:18a – For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain.

The Difference This Truth Makes
Isaiah 45:18 says that God did not create the world “in vain.” This means He did not create it to be “worthless” or “empty.” God created the world to be inhabited, to be lived in. He made plants, fish, birds, and animals to dwell in the Earth. And God created man especially to occupy this planet. The Hebrew word for “in vain” in Isaiah 45:18 is the same word translated “without form and void” in Genesis 1:2. God transformed a world that was empty at first into a world that is now overflowing with life! And He did it by Himself.
