God Has Always Known the Things He Would Do
Case 11: God's Work - Past and Present
When did God decide and plan out all the things He would do?
Even before God created the world, He decided and planned out all the things He would do. Isaiah 46:9b-10 – "I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.'"
This Truth Makes
God has always known the things He would do, and He works within His Creation to make sure His plans come to pass. Bible teachers use the word providence to describe God’s skillful work within Creation to bring about all His plans and purposes.
God has declared the end from the beginning. In other words, God determines the beginning, middle, and end of everything
– for all time.
God has proven His ability to predict the future through hundreds of fulfilled prophecies. He does not only predict the future; He also directs the future. The Bible says that He will do whatever He pleases. Since we know what God is like (He is great, above all others, and always good), we can trust that what pleases Him is always the right and best thing.
