Jesus Will Judge Unbelievers by His Word
Case 12: God's Plan for the Future
On the day of resurrection and judgment, how will Christ judge unbelievers, those sinners who rejected Him as Lord and King?
Christ will judge unbelievers by the absolute authority of His Word. John 12:48 – "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day."
This Truth Makes
All unbelievers will stand before the “Great White Throne.” Revelation 20:11 – Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
This is the event of ultimate and final judgment against all those who die in their sins (without Christ). God judges all of these people according to His Word. He measures their lives up against His Law and judges them according to their works.
Just like judges judge people according to written laws, Jesus will use His written Word to judge unbelievers. No person will have an excuse when the Day of the Lord comes.
Jesus came the first time to save the world, but for those who reject Him, Jesus’ second coming will be not as a Savior but as a Judge. Christians know Christ as Savior through faith; they are delivered from the fearful penalty of sin only because they are in Christ.
