God Has Always Known the Things He Would Do
Construction Zone 11: God's Work - Past and Present
When did God decide all the things He would do?
Even before God created the world, He decided all the things He would do. Isaiah 46:10b – "My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure."
This Truth Makes
God has always known the things He would do. He works within Creation to make sure His plans get carried out. Bible teachers use the word providence to describe God’s skillful work within Creation to bring about all His plans and purposes.
God has declared the end from the beginning. In other words, God decides the beginning, middle, and end of everything – for all time. Time is in His hands.
God has proven He can tell the future. Hundreds of His prophecies have been fulfilled (come true). But God not only tells the future; God also directs the future. The Bible says that He will do all His pleasure. This simply means that God will do whatever He pleases. Since we know what God is like (He is very great and always good), we can trust that what pleases Him is always right and best for His glory and for our good.
